I find working at the intersection of biology, mathematics and computer science truly exciting. For me, the best part of computational biology is seeing abstract ideas relate to tangible, relevant problems and offer solutions. I enjoy analyzing data from new technologies and discovering novel statistical methods to analyze them. I am also passionate about teaching and ensuring computational tools are accessible to wet lab biologists who wish to analyze their data themselves. With this in mind, I help organize and conduct workshops at MSKCC to help wet lab biologists understand the nuances of computational methods and provide them sufficient materials to analyze their data on their own.
